Congratulations on your brand new Seattle Built PC! We would like to express our sincere gratitude for choosing us as your trusted builder. Whether you’re a gaming enthusiast, a dedicated streamer, or have a myriad of other exciting plans for your PC, we are thrilled to be a part of your journey.
Let’s dive into a step-by-step guide to get your PC up and running:
What’s Inside?
When you open the shipping box, you’ll be greeted by a whole lot of packaging and three main items:
- Your PC - This is packaged inside the large case box and extra packaging materials.
- An empty GPU box - Whether you want to show off your GPU box on a shelf or tuck it away in your closet, be sure to hold on to this box in case there’s an issue with your PC.
- The motherboard box - Contains the basic cables, accessories, manuals, and product boxes for the RAM and storage.
Although our PCs undergo rigorous testing, issues may still arise months later. Therefore, we want to ensure that you have all the necessary components to safely return your PC to us for repair..
Please hold on to these:
- PC Case box (Including the 2x styrofoam pieces, plastic bag, and Instapak packaging)
- GPU box
- Motherboard, RAM, and Storage boxes
Unboxing Your PC
Let’s begin by unpacking your PC. Start by cutting open the top of the case box. You can check the text on the side of the box to confirm which side is up.
Lifting the heavy PC can be tricky, so we have a tip to make it easier. Slide your hands down the short side of the case box to pop out the little cardboard pieces in the carrying handles.
Now, you have two options to lift up the PC. You can either lift up the PC itself or carefully flip the PC upside down and slowly lift up the case box.
Once the PC is unboxed, it’s time to remove the Instapak - the white packaging inside the PC. To remove the Instapak, we first need to remove the side panel, which can be different depending on your case. Here are some common cases we use:
-
Fractal Pop Series
On the back of your PC, you’ll find two thumb screws that hold the glass panel in place. To remove the glass panel, simply unscrew both screws until you no longer feel any resistance. Then, slide the glass panel towards the back and lift it off. It’s as easy as that! -
Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo Series
Let’s start by removing the top metal panel of your PC. At the top back of the PC, you’ll see two thumbscrews. Simply unscrew both screws until you no longer feel any resistance and slide the top metal panel towards the back, then lift it off. Next, if you look from the top down, you’ll see a small screw that needs to be removed using a screwdriver. Now the glass panel can be pulled off. -
Lian Li Lancool 216 Series
Locate the thumbscrew located near the top of the back panel. Unscrew this screw until you no longer feel any resistance, then pop the panel out. -
Hyte Y40 Series
Locate the thumbscrew near the top of the back panel. Unscrew this screw until you no longer feel any resistance, then pop the panel out.
Customers who have the Y40 case and have removed the Instapak will need to follow these steps to install the GPU:- Take out the GPU from its box.
- At the back of the system, under the “graphics” label, there will be 2-3 open slots with screws above them which will need to be removed.
- Insert the GPU into the riser cable.
- Now screw in the screws from step 2 into the original holes to mount the GPU in place.
- Plug in the GPU’s power cable.

Plugging in Cables
-
Plug in the power cable: The power cable can be found inside the motherboard box. Look for the cable that matches the shape of the PSU (power supply unit). Once you’ve found it, plug it in and flick the power switch from the “O” to the “I” position.
-
Connect your monitors: The ports for your monitors are located in two groups at the back of the PC. The top group is connected to the motherboard and the bottom group is connected to the GPU (graphics processing unit). We recommend using the ports on the GPU for the best performance. For monitors, we suggest using DisplayPort cables, and for TVs, use HDMI cables. You can find these cables with your monitors or purchase them separately.
-
Connect the WiFi/Bluetooth antennas: Even if you plan to use hardline Ethernet, we recommend installing the WiFi/Bluetooth antennas for seamless connectivity. Locate the two brass connectors at the back of the PC and screw in the WiFi antenna.
-
Turn on your PC: The power button is located on the top, front, or side of the case. Press it to bring your PC to life!
Congratulations on setting up your new Seattle Built PC! We hope you enjoy your new PC and happy gaming!
